Don grew up in Georgia and served in the US Army from May of 1999 to November of 2003. Don spent his enlistment assigned to the 3rd Squadron 7th US Cavalry Regiment. He deployed to Kuwait in 1999, Bosnia in 2001, and participated in the invasion of Iraq in March of 2003. After receiving his honorable discharge, Don earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Juris Doctor.
